'Ohana means family - no one gets left behind, and no one is ever forgotten.'

April's focus is on relationships. Not just romantic relationships, but rather ALL relationships.
I have a variety of relationships with a variety of people in my life. Some of my relationships I have been invested in for 29 years, some I have been invested in for 24 years, some I have been invested in for 5 years, some I have been invested in for 8 months and some I will be investing in for the rest of my life. No matter how long I have my relationships have existed, I treasure each and every one for their own reason.
One goal for this month is this: call my both my parents once a week to catch up, check in and just enjoy this time we have together and to be able to tell them I love them. I used to be super good at this when I first went to college at WSU, mainly because my mom called ME, not the other way. Since I live far away from my parents, it's important for me to do a good job of keeping in regular contact with them. When their lives and my life is changing so much, it's even more important for me to be diligent with my weekly phone calls.
My other goal for this month is: make time to focus on Will, like in at least one evening/day a week. Now this may seem silly or ridiculous because we live together and are engaged, however, we are both busy and have a lot going on. When I say to focus on Will, I mean actually focus, no texting, no hanging out with us and other friends, no Facebooking, no silly phone games....just good ol' one on one WAM time. We don't get it enough!
