I love my husband. For many reasons. For him, I am thankful.
Willis, I am thankful for you.
What can I say about Will. Well, how much time do you have? Seriously. This man is absolutely awesome and I will do my best to express and share it with you.
Will is patient. More patient than I can ever be. Throughout our relationship, he has been so patient. I decided to go back to school to finish a degree and then I loved it so much, I wanted to get a Master's. Crazy, but in the long run, practical. The entire time, through the long hours of me studying, frustrating midterms and final schedule, copious amounts of homework, Will has been supportive. And encouraging. I have had many breakdowns because of school. I have felt weak. I have felt defeated. Will was there to pick me up. Will always had something positive to say to get me back on track.
I don't know if you all know this, but girls be crazy.
Seriously, we are straight up nuts sometimes. Will has experienced this firsthand and still loves me just as much. That takes guts. That takes bravery. That takes EXTREME patience. That takes true love :) . And sometimes that takes a lot of PBR...but Will and I are best friends. It doesn't matter what we are doing, we manage to have a good time! We can laugh at each other being complete whack-a-dos! He puts up with me when I am emotional. He puts up with me when I am stressed. He is my shoulder to cry on when I am sad. He is my dance partner when I need to be spastic and get out my weird, spastic energy! Will is a great listener, a great confidant and a great friend and he can give you a kiss on the cheek or a good kick in the rear whenever needed!
When I am weak, Will is strong.
I have never wanted to rely on someone else to be strong for me and I have prided myself in my strength. However, there are times in our lives when we do not have it in ourselves to be strong and we need to rely on those special persons in our lives to be our strength. We need to swallow our pride and allow ourselves to be vulnerable. When I get weak in the knees he is there to catch me.
Will is my strength.
One of my favorite things about Will is sense of humor. He has a way about him that can make any situation, no matter how awkward, sad, scary, or frustrating completely different, all with his humor. Whether it is with his funny facial expressions, his crazy antics and dancing or his quotes with accents, he will make you laugh. He will defuse any situation or mood. Will can provide the distraction that you need in order to move on. I found someone who can keep up with me and my crazy sense of funniness and I cherish it and enjoy it every day!
Will walks in when it is easy for others to walk out. He has seen me at my worst. He has seen me at my best. He is there for me. He is my strength. He is my drive. He is my power. He is my passion. Will gives me something more to live for, more to strive for. Will makes me push myself harder than I have even when I don't think I can push myself anymore.
Will, you are my better half, and today and every day, I am thankful for YOU!
This song explains how I feel about you. The lyrics couldn't be more true.
I have found the home for my heart.
I love you today.
I will love you tomorrow.
I will love you for always.
Today (and everyday), Willis, I am thankful for you.
