Day 15: Pinterest.

If I haven't warned you, some of these posts will be a little more light-hearted than others. I feel that it's a good expression of me.  A balance of serious, goofy, fun and light-hearted :)

My name is Maja and I am a Pinterest addict.

<Hi Maja!> says the imaginary audience...

Was there life before Pinterest? Sometimes I think not. I love Pinterest. What woman from 18-60+ doesn't?!? It's the ultimate idea board for inspiration! Luuuuuurrve it! If Pinterest ever crashed I would be lost. Okay, not really, but I would be sad.

I still remember when I was introduced to Pinterest.  Miss Meladi Mottern told me about Pinterest at a  Scentsy party at my house in early summer. Summers at UI can be slow. Like a 98 year old woman  crossing the street slow. Mel told me that Pinterest was awesome. She showed me how to use it via app on her phone (which I sadly, did not get right away. Stupid me!).  Slowly I became hooked.

The one problem I ran into with Pinterest is that I became a "pinning" machine! I would pin, pin, pin, pin, pin away, but NEVER do anything I pinned. What the foutch is the point of that?! That's when I found out about a Pinterest Challenge via my two favorite blogs. They found something on Pinterest and recreated it and blogged about it and pinned it. Many times it would be something from a store or sometimes just a fun decor idea they wanted to do. I decided that I would do my own Pinterest challenge! One summer I challenged myself to do at least ONE thing from any of my boards and I usually ended up documenting it via Facebook (pre-WAMalicious days).

So. Much. Fun.

Through Pinterest, I feel that my creative side has flourished! I have felt so inspired, so excited to do new house related projects, to try new recipes, to make new crafts to sell at the Prichard Art Gallery (Downtown Moscow, South Main street.....I needed to make a plug!). My husband even loves Pinterest because he gets to enjoy the new recipes that I try!

So all in all, Pinterest has been a positive experience for me.

Today, Pinterest, I am thankful for you.
